2nd Quarter Reflection

During the Second Quarter, I discovered many new lessons that helped me grow both academically and personally. I learned to manage my time wisely, participate more actively in class, and express my ideas more clearly. Each subject contributed to my development—Science encouraged me to think critically, while English improved my communication and writing skills. Through different group activities, I also realized the importance of teamwork, patience, and cooperation in achieving success. However, this quarter also brought several difficulties. I faced challenges such as handling multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and trying to balance my schoolwork with personal time. There were moments when I felt exhausted and pressured, but those experiences taught me the value of hard work and determination. I realized that success doesn’t come easily—it takes effort, focus, and a strong will to keep going. To overcome these challenges, I began planning my schedule carefully and organizing m...

Teachers play a vital role in shaping not only our minds but also our hearts. The 2025 Teacher’s Month Celebration with the theme “My Teacher, My Hero” honors these remarkable individuals who dedicate their time, knowledge, and love to help us reach our fullest potential. They are the guiding lights who lead us through challenges and encourage us to dream big. I show my appreciation to my teachers by respecting them, listening attentively during lessons, and giving my best effort in every task. I also make sure to express my gratitude through kind words, notes, or simple gestures that show how much I value their hard work and sacrifices. These moments of appreciation remind them that their efforts truly make a difference in our lives. Teachers are heroes not because they wear capes, but because they carry the weight of every student’s dream with unwavering dedication. They teach us lessons that go beyond books—lessons about perseverance, kindness, and courage. Their love for teaching...

Science and Society: Shaping a Brighter Future Science has always been at the heart of human progress, and in the years ahead, its role in shaping our world will only grow. Every new discovery has the potential to change how we live, how we interact, and how we take care of our planet. But with these advancements come responsibilities ethical, social, and economic. It’s not enough for science to move forward; people everywhere must work together to ensure that its benefits reach all of us. One of the greatest ways science will touch our lives is through health care. Advances in biotechnology, personalized medicine, and genetic research promise treatments designed specifically for each person. Instead of a “one-size-fits-all” approach, future medicine may be tailored to our unique genetic makeup, making it more effective and less risky. Breakthroughs in vaccines, cures for rare diseases, and regenerative medicine could help us live longer, healthier lives. However, these opportunit...

In the Philippines, climate change isn’t just something we hear about on the news it’s something we live through every day. From storms that seem to come out of nowhere, to floods that leave families stranded, to the rising heat that makes life more difficult, the effects are real and constant. Yet, in spite of all this, Filipinos continue to show what it means to be resilient. You can see it after a typhoon has passed. Streets are flooded, power lines are down, and entire communities are devastated. But what’s just as certain as the disaster itself is the spirit of bayanihan the willingness of neighbors to lend a hand. Families pull together to rebuild homes, share whatever food and water they have, and give hope to each other in the hardest moments. It’s not about waiting for someone to fix things; it’s about taking the first step, together. While many of us suffer from the effects of climate change, it’s often the most vulnerable who bear the brunt. Farmers lose their crops to flood...

Intramurals

Participating in intramurals, especially in football, is an incredible experience for any student looking to develop both physically and socially. Through intramural football, I learned essential skills like teamwork, discipline, communication, and perseverance, which are valuable not only in sports but in life itself. Football is a team sport that teaches the importance of working together toward a common goal, and it helped me grow both as an athlete and as an individual. One of the most important lessons I learned through intramural football was the value of sportsmanship. In a fast-paced and competitive game like football, it's easy to get caught up in the heat of the moment, but respecting the rules, the referee's decisions, and most importantly, the other team, is what makes a true athlete. It taught me how to win graciously and lose with dignity, always keeping respect for others at the forefront. Football also requires a lot of discipline, whether it's during practi...

Reflection

During the first quarter, I was able to gain new knowledge and experiences that helped me grow as a student. I learned the importance of proper time management, staying organized, and creating an effective study plan. These skills allowed me to handle my school tasks more efficiently and prepared me for the challenges that came with the start of a new school year. One of the challenges I encountered was adjusting to the heavier workload compared to the previous grade level. Back in Grade 9, the requirements were fewer, but now, there are more tasks and lessons to study, which made it difficult for me to adapt at first. Another struggle I faced was managing my time and maintaining focus while studying since I get distracted easily. There were also lessons that I found difficult to understand, which made learning more challenging. To overcome these difficulties, I started making a study schedule and practicing discipline in following it. I also limited my distractions, especially my use ...

CLEAN-UP DRIVE A clean-up drive is important because it keeps the environment safe, healthy, and beautiful. It removes trash that harms soil, water, and wildlife, while also preventing diseases from pests like mosquitoes. Clean up drives also bring people together, teaching teamwork, responsibility, and proper waste disposal. By keeping surroundings clean, communities become healthier and more attractive, ensuring a better place for everyone to live in. Tree planting is important because trees give us clean air, shade, and protection against floods and soil erosion. They also provide food, shelter for animals, and make our surroundings more beautiful and healthy. At the same time, recycling old tires as plant pots is a creative way to reduce waste and reuse materials that would otherwise harm the environment. By planting trees in recycled pots, we not only care for nature but also promote sustainability and resourcefulness. This simple act shows that even small steps can make a bi...
